Bonnell “Bonnie” (Terry) Jendras, age 70, of Marblehead, died on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Born in Plainfield, NJ on August 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edwin L. and Isabelle (Poucher) Terry. She lived in Norway, Maine for many years, graduating from Norway High School and from Westbrook Junior College. She moved to Marblehead in the mid-sixties.
Bonnie worked as a legal secretary in Boston for over 40 years, starting with Hill and Barlow, and retiring a few years ago from DLA Piper LLP.
She was the mother of Jeffrey Jendras of Marblehead, and the former wife of Wallace “Wally” Jendras who died in 2003. She also leaves a brother Edwin G. “Pete” Terry of Norway, ME, and cousins in NJ, PA and NV.
Bonnie was active in Junior Aid in the sixties and early 70s. She and Wally were active sailors before Jeffrey was born. As all who knew her can attest, Bonnie loved all animals, especially her dogs Tara I, Tara II, Lexi, and Ally.
At Bonnie’s request there will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Service was held at the Dr. Arland A. Dirlam Chapel, Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Marblehead Shelter for Abandoned Animals, Village Street, Marblehead 01945 or to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
