Steven Scott Parsons was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on May 1, 1955, to Ruth Imogene Scott (Clark) and Andrew Clarkson Parsons, Jr. Steve graduated from Memorial High School in Houston in 1974 and attended Texas State University.
Steve’s career in hospitality management allowed him to travel across the United States, deepening his passion for food and people. Known for his sweet tooth, Steve spent years perfecting recipes for truffles and toffees. In 2009, with the love of his life, he opened the famous "Choccolattes" shop in Marble Falls, TX. If you knew Steve, you likely had the pleasure of tasting the “world's best toffee.”
In addition to his devotion to chocolate and people, Steve was a car enthusiast and a dog lover. He took great joy in restoring and driving his classic red Alfa Romeo and walking his three rescued Afghan wolfhounds.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Michele Parsons, and their blended family: daughter and son-in-law Nikki and Kirk Stickley; sons Russell, Justin, and Mitchell Powers; and 11 cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, Andrew Clarkson Parsons, Jr.; his brother, Paul Parsons, and wife, Jessica Parsons; nephew Ryan Parsons; niece Kelley Parsons; sister Linda Akhavein; nephew Mehdi Akhavein and wife, Keisha Akhavein, and their daughters Olivia and Leila Akhavein; and nephew Camron Akhavein and wife, Maritza Akhavein.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Imogene Clark, and granddaughter, Emily Rose Stickley.
Known as the “Willy Wonka” of Hill Country, Steve's legacy in the Marble Falls community is profound. The family would like to express their gratitude to the community for the tremendous support during this difficult time. As Willy Wonka so wisely said, “We are the music-makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” Let us honor Steve's legacy by continuing to dream, create, and cherish every moment.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Steve is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A celebration of life will be held on October 19 at Clements Wilcox Funeral home from 1-3 pm, 1805 US-281, Marble Falls, TX 78654
