Inda was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on August 16, 1958 to Joe and Jeanine Sorrels.
Inda is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Alan Williams; sons Tyler (Devin) and Dustin (Morgan); sister, Stacy Goodwin (Robert), brothers Joe Sorrels (Evelyn) and Bob Sorrels; and sister-in-law Karen Gillenwaters (James). She is also survived by her six grandchildren Brodie-Anne, IndieRose, Ben Walker, Brighton Jane, Tyson and Judah, with another one on the way; several nieces and one nephew.
After graduating from Richardson High School in May of 1976, Inda attended the University of Texas graduating with an Accounting degree in December 1980.
She soon became a Certified Public Accountant in September in 1984. Inda owned and operated her CPA firm before joining efforts with Alan as he became an operator with Chick-fil-A in 2004. She continued until her final days to fill any role to assist in the success of Chick- fil-A.
In 2017 Inda published The Power of a Caregiver as part of Transformational Adventure ministry. Together Inda and Alan were called to publish four more books. The purpose of this calling was to take something as challenging as cancer and turn it into a faith inspired experience bringing people closer to God and serving those in need of hope.
Inda worshiped the Lord and she had a strong desire to spend time with Jesus. She served continuously as a mentor, volunteer, and spiritual leader to so many with her wisdom from the Lord, to help navigate life’s challenges. She truly exemplified walking in the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. She was a true servant in every sense of the word.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls. Her wish is to have a colorful celebration for those in attendance and her favorite color is turquoise.
