Grace Elaine Powell, passed away at her son’s home in Denton, TX on December 24th, 2022. She was born on June 8, 1944 in Pasadena, TX to Pete and Elsie Archer. She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1963. She met the love of her life, Ronnie Powell of Marble Falls, and they were married in 1965 in Squaw Valley, California. She gave birth to their only child, David Powell, on February 7, 1966 in Pasadena, TX.
Grace held a number of positions through her work life, but she spent the majority of her work history at Classic Marble in Round Rock. She had many hobbies, such as ceramics, floral arrangement, sewing and quilting. She was an active TOPS member for over 30 years, where she met many of her lifelong friends. She looked forward to annual convention and rarely missed a weekly meeting.
Grace valued spending time with her friends and family more than anything. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. If there was a birthday, holiday, or any life moment that needed to be celebrated, if she could manage it, she was present.
Grace was preceded in death by her spouse, Ronald Powell, her parents, Pete and Elsie Archer, brothers Woody, James, and Edward Archer, her sisters Gladys Green and JoAnn McCurdy. She is survived by her son, David Powell, daughter in law, Deanna Cravens, Grandchildren Brent &Trisha Keel, Cassidy and Jessica Wilke, Justin and Kayla Powell, Great Grandchildren Alessandra Keel, Carson and Heidi Wilke, and Kayne Powell, Sister Vera Archer and Brother Robert Archer, and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Grace had such a zest for life, she always believed the glass was half full, not half empty. She was a very social person, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
