Gene Ann Galloway Putman, 89, of San Antonio, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on November 11, 2024. Gene Ann was born on May 10, 1935, in Clovis, New Mexico to Tom and Mabel Galloway. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1954. She married Wayne Putman in September of 1954. They were married for 68 years and had three sons.
Gene Ann was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed snow skiing, square dancing and traveling with Wayne in their trailer. She loved sewing and quilting. Many baby quilts and other gifts were made for family and friends.
Gene Ann loved her family and friends. Around her home are photos of her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She loved family reunions and spending time with friends. Gene Ann was a fun loving, vibrant person with a zest for life. She loved telling and retelling family stories that everyone knew well. She was known for her quick smile and her southern drawl. She was a proud Texan and Texas Tech football fan.
Gene Ann was predeceased by her husband, Wayne, her parents, and brother Sonny Galloway. She is survived by 3 sons, Mark (Belynda), Michael (Katrina) and Wesley (Marcella), 12 grandchildren: Krystin Dunagan (Kevin), Joshua Putman (Kacy), Pepper Snyder (Brent), Whitney Archer (Daniel), Jared Putman, Amber Sladek, Taylor Altomore (Jared), Garrett Putman, Summer Putman, Luke Putman (Krista), Cody Putman, Loren Putman, and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home (1805 Hwy 281 North) in Marble Falls, on Sunday, November 17 from 4-6 pm. A memorial service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church (2702 Mormon Mill Rd) on Monday, November 18 at 11am.
