Russell Vogt

He was born February 21, 1954 in Mansfield to Shirley (Frisch) and Robert J. Vogt and graduated from Madison High School in 1972. Russell retired from the U.S. Air Force after 18 years of service. He enjoyed watching sports with his brother, Phillip. Russell regularly attended St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Scott) Haggitt and three grandchildren, Ashley, Devin and Sydney; his son, Scott Vogt (fiancée, Kim Newcomb), all of CO; mother of his children, Linda Vogt; mother, Shirley Vogt of Mansfield; one brother, Phillip Vogt of Mansfield; two sisters, Cheryl (David) Gilbert of Mifflin and Laurie (Toby) Thomas of Mansfield; two nieces, Alissa and Kassie Thomas; one aunt, Martha (Larry) Vogt Timbers of Willoughby; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Vogt in 1971; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Lucille Frisch; paternal grandparents, Peter and Elizabeth Vogt; an uncle, Peter J. Vogt; and an aunt, Norma (Earl) Long.

A private military graveside service for the family will be held at a later date in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Association for Cancer Research, 615 Chestnut St. 17th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106
