Patricia Anne Flaherty, 79, passed away Tuesday evening, October 30, 2018 at Wedgewood Assisted Living in Mansfield. She was born November 14, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Herman and Ida Lucille (Scott) Johnston.
Pat worked at Dunkin Jewelers for over 30 years. She enjoyed flower arranging and was a member of the Crestline Garden Club for many years. She also assisted in decorating Kingwood Center for the holidays with the Colony Club. Pat was an avid sports fan and closely followed the OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Her family was very important to her and her grandchildren and friends held a special place in her heart. Pat enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jack, whenever they were able.
She is survived by two sons, Mike (Amy) Flaherty of Bucyrus and Todd Flaherty of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Casey E. Flaherty, Mackenzie C. Flaherty, Megan L. Flaherty, Jacob M. Flaherty, Tyler Flaherty, and Shelby Flaherty; and a sister, Betty Jeanne Flockenzier of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack E. Flaherty.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Bill Horning of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, Crestline.
