Nadine Foster Holland, 86, passed away Saturday morning, December 3, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born February 24, 1925 in Garrett, Kentucky to William Bradley Francis and Elizabeth (Dye) Francis Stambaugh.
Nadine was an ordained minister when she was younger and loved to help people through prayer. She married Charles Foster in 1941 and after his death, married Thomas Holland and they shared 20 years of marriage. Nadine was a member of Open Bible Church. In her younger days, Nadine enjoyed camping and Easter egg hunting in Mifflin. Her poodle dog, Muffin was her constant companion and brought her great joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Beletha (Larry) Heiser; sons, Charles Foster and Jim (Judy) Foster; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; four sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and many relatives from the Foster family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Foster and Thomas Holland; mother, Elizabeth Stambaugh; father, William Bradley Francis; five brothers; three sisters; and daughters-in-law, Bonnie Foster and Amy Foster.
Friends and family may visit from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Food Bank in care of the funeral home.
