Lorna I. Brown, 93, of Mansfield, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield. Born March 13, 1921 in Jeromesville, she was the daughter of Clare and Hazel (Slater) Cornelius. A graduate of Jeromesville High School, Lorna worked as a secretary for the Agricultural Adjustment Administration until she married the love of her life, Francis Brown. She supported her husband and sons in all that they did. Lorna loved caring for her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind and pleasant person who never complained and would never say a bad word about anyone. She was a past member of Park Ave. Baptist Church but attended services every Sunday over the last four years at Primrose where she enjoyed making many new friends.
She is survived by her sons, Terry (Ann) Brown and Ken Brown of Mansfield; grandchildren, Alex Brown of Mansfield, Jennifer (Joel) Carter of Orlando, FL, Ben (Angela) Brown of Mansfield, and Ryan Brown of Butler; and several great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Brown on May 26, 2010, and two sisters, Relda Kestner and Glenna Helbert.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Dwight Stryker. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
