Lily Amelia Hunter

Lily was born in Sheffield, England on October 2, 1927. She was the daughter of John and Blanche (Fowler) May. She was retired from Therm-O-Disc as a quality inspector. Lily met her husband while he was serving in the Army Air Corp. They married in England on October 3, 1945, and raised their family in Mansfield, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lily loved traveling. She lived half of the year in Florida and enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Lily leaves behind her children, Stephanie Hunter, Sharen Hunter, John Hunter, Robert (Phyllis Howren) Hunter, and Susan (Robert) Tracy; her grandchildren, Joshua (Alicia) Hunter, Nicole (David) Basom, and Zachary (Alexandra Moe) Tracy; her great-grandchild, Lily Basom; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert Charles Hunter.

The family will receive guests from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Pastor Joe Ashby will officiate the funeral services beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
