Jack W. Potts, 69, of Mansfield, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born October 18, 1938 in Sandusky, he was the son of John and Hattie Simpson Potts. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Jack retired from General Motors after 30 years of service as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Wyandotte Freewill Baptist Church, the UAW, American Legion #83, and Amvets #17, both of Sandusky. He enjoyed music, liked to eat, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Kevin Crawford of Mansfield; brothers, Alan Barbara Potts, and Harold Margaret Potts; sisters, Dolores Mentullo, Marilyn Arnold, Sharon John Ball; sister-in-law, Mary Potts; brothers-in-law, Thomas Winters, and Joseph Arnold. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Janice Ann Easterling Potts on May 24, 2002; his parents; brother, Karl Potts; and sister, Carol Winters.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield conducted by Rev. Brian Phillips. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
