Gramma Kitty, as known to her family, was a generous lady who loved to send cards to her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and their children. She was fun, outgoing and never afraid to take on the adventure of trying something new. Dolores "Dee" was a lover of people and animals, having rescued many of both most of her life. She always saw the best in others and encouraged them. She was employed by Mansfield City Schools as an aide for handicapped students and loved each of them. Dolores dealt with many health issues most of her life but her spirit never wavered. She was an ultimate Tribe fan, watching and discussing every game.
She is survived by her four children, Dianna (Henry) Wooley, Deni (Charles) Taylor, John (Debbie) DeWeese and Jeffrey DeWeese, with whom she shared her home; grandchildren and spouses, Joanna (Chad) Bartlett, Beth (Gabe) Hochstetler, Caroline (Jesse) Crumlick, Dawna (Dan) Osborne, Joshua (Jill) Taylor, Chad (Brittany) Taylor, Norah DeWeese, Cecelia DeWeese, John Luc DeWeese, as well as nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy (Loren) Streiner; brother, Ronald (Georgia) Bacquet; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; John C.H. Bacquet and Irene (Sorg) Bacquet; and a brother, Raymond Bacquet.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3pm on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Mansfield Cemetery conducted by Pastor John Teevan. A gathering of family and friends will be held following from 5-7pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Home, 98 S.
