Debra "Debbie" Sue Hilson

Debbie graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. She worked at various businesses over the years including Tyco, Ohio Brass and Mansfield Distributing.

She was a loving woman who had a special place in her heart for dogs. She married her soul mate, John Hilson, on June 20, 1987, and she was his biggest fan at his drag racing events. Debbie was a garage sale master and she enjoyed finding that special something she just had to have. She enjoyed camping, ceramics, arts and crafts, bowling and was an excellent baker.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 34 years, John Hilson; sister, Brenda (Edward) Brooks; sisters-in-law, Gwen (Ray) Dingus and Sarah (Bill) Edwards; brother-in-law, Greg Hilson; seven nieces and nephews, Amber, Haley, Nicole, Trachelle, Dee, Joey and Tyler; and many cousins, friends and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S.Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Chad Berry will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Richland County or Southern Care Hospice.
