Cora was born April 6, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Delarcy Black, Sr. and Iola Waters-Black.
Cora is survived by four daughters, Darcye Henson, Tracye Kennie, Gwendolyn Waller and Drena Kilgore; two sons, William Palmer and George Palmer, Jr.; one sister; Gloria Franz; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family has entrusted Wappner Funeral Directors-Diamond for their loved one.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Wappner Funeral Directors-Diamond, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. due to her lifelong home church, Mitchell Chapel A.M.E., being unavailable as it is currently undergoing renovations. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery.
