Christopher "Chris" Lane Byrne, 63, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017, due to complications of diabetes. He was born February 28, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio, to William Michael and Lois Marjean (Hershey) Byrne.
Chris was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shawn Byrne; three children, Caitlin, Patrick and Bridget Byrne; father, W. Michael Byrne; brothers, Brian (Carol) Byrne, Jeremiah Byrne and Terrence Byrne; sisters, Lynn Stone, Lisa (Michael) Bumb, Leslie (David) Eichinger, Laura (James) Weist; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Byrne.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 104 W. First St., Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Father Gregory Hite will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, Feed the Needy. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
