Lois Ruth Voorhees, 87, of Toms River, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at home. Born in Staten Island, NY, she attended Columbia Presbyterian Nursing School. She worked part time at the Staten Island Hospital (now Staten Island University Hospital) as a nurse while also raising her children. She moved to Toms River in 1995.
She was predeceased by her first husband Kenneth Adamo in 1974 and by her second husband Manning W. Vorrhees in 2016. Surviving are two sons and daughter in law, Richard Adamo of Staten Island and Kenneth and Veronika Adamo of Chicago, IL..
