Gerard J. Jacobsen

Gerard J. Jacobsen, age 86, of Manchester Township, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Jerry was born and raised in Jersey City. He joined the ARMY and served his country from 1958-1960. He came home and married his high school sweetheart, Antoinette. They moved to Washington Township, where they raised their family and lived for over 30 years. He worked as a self-employed pipe insulator. Jerry was a natural athlete. He played basketball and baseball for the ARMY. He loved to ski, hunt, fish and was an accomplished marksman. By far, his favorite sport was golf, and he enjoyed 36 holes every Friday. When he wasn't playing golf, he was probably watching it on tv. Jerry was a fixer of all things, and he truly enjoyed spending time at the beach with his grandchildren, from Point Pleasant and Island Beach State Park to the Outer Banks. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Antoinette, his children; Jeff Jacobsen, Greg Jacobsen and his wife Debbie, and Jill Catherman, his 7 grandchildren; Jeffrey, Michele, Matthew, Derek, Tara, Bobby and Madison. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Lockwood and was predeceased by his brother Jimmy Jacobsen.
