May 9, 1947 - November 21, 2024
Bob Schuster, a long time resident of Toms River and Manchester, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on November 21st, at the age of 77
Bob was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and grew up in Union, NJ. After graduating high school, Bob served in the United States Army from 1966-1968.
In 1979, Bob married the love of his life, Adele. They were married for 45 wonderful years and made many lasting memories together. They enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially to places such as Alaska and the Grand Canyon. Over the years, Bob and Adele continued to share many laughs and adventures. Their devotion to one another has always remained strong.
Bob was an avid golfer much of his life and always had a love for the game, especially when he got to play with his favorite foursome, his wife and two sons. He was also a very talented artist who created many beautiful paintings for his family members later in life, which they will cherish forever. He took great joy in painting landscape portraits in the style of Bob Ross. He was a huge music aficionado and loved to rock out to everything from Frank Sinatra to Metallica.
Above all of his hobbies and noble pursuits, Bob was a loving husband and family man, who devoted his life to providing his wife and children with the best life possible. He always offered tremendous support and encouragement to his children. Bob prided himself on never missing a single one of his kids’ baseball games, track meets, or academic achievements. He coached his sons’ basketball and baseball teams and was truly their number one fan. Bob continued to provide that unconditional support to his granddaughters through countless hours of cheering from the sidelines at soccer games and dance recitals.
Throughout his life, and up until the very end, Bob was an intelligent, hard working, selfless, funny, gentle, and loving man. You could always count on him for a good joke, a silly face, and an uncompromised sense of humor. Bob will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a smile that could brighten anyone’s day and that will never be forgotten.
Bob is survived by his wife, Adele; his son, Bob, and his wife, Deanna, and granddaughters, Arabella and Audriana; his son, Chris, and his wife, Claire, and grandson, Cormac, as well as many beloved relatives and friends. He is predeceased by loving parents Ethel and Harry Holzhauser.
Visitation for Bob will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home on 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759 on Sunday, November 24th 11am-1pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation on behalf of Bob to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
