Brian G. Caldwell, 58, of Goffstown, died December 30, 2017 at the Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on January 15, 1959 the son of George and Constance (Wade) Caldwell. He grew up in the Queen City, was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School West Class of 1977.
Following his graduation, he went on to proudly serve his country as a veteran of the US Army. He was later employed as a mail handler for the US Postal Service with over 35 years of service. Brian enjoyed sporting events and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan but he also relished the quiet times he spent with a fishing pole in his hand. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, son brother and friend.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Members of his family include his wife of 35 years and best friend Louise J. (Cote) Caldwell of Goffstown and his sisters Cathleen Vachon, Kelley-Ann St. Pierre and Colleen Gagne as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends.
There were no calling hours. A Committal Service and inurnment with military honors was held on Friday January 5 at 1 pm in the chapel at the NH State Veterans Cemetery 110 DW Highway in Boscawen. The McHugh Funeral Home in Manchester was entrusted by the family with his care.
