She was born on April 1, 1948 to Daniel & Selma (Mass) Orshansky in Bronx, N.Y. Prior to moving to Monroe Twp 12 years ago, she was a lifelong resident of Old Bridge, N.J. Fern worked as an office manager for The Girl Scouts of Southern/Central N.J. prior to her retirement in 2010. She served on the Old Bridge Board of Education, Old Bridge Schools PTA and volunteered with the Monroe Twp Special Sports program.
Fern is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alan Cohen, her daughter Faith (Cohen) Grabowski of Delran, N.J., her late son-in-law Ronald Grabowski, her brother Leo Orshansky of Monroe Twp, her sister Randee Karchmar of Newport Ritchie, F.L., her grandchildren Spencer Cohen of Idaho, Jessica Cohen of Red Bank, N.J. & Ryan Kuplast of Delran, N.J. and her great Grand babies, Kayden Cohen & Savannah Cohen.
She is pre-deceased by her parents Daniel Orshansky & Selma (Mass) Orshansky, her son, Sandy Cohen and her brother, Harold Orshansky.
Services will be held at Floral Park Cemetery 104 Deans-Rhode Hall Road, South Brunswick, NJ on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 12:00 PM.
