Felix was a survivor of the Holocaust, immigrating to the United States in 1950. He and his family settled in Brooklyn, New York where he resided until he retired from his career as an electrician. He then relocated to Monroe Township, New Jersey. He was a wonderful ping pong champion and an avid ping pong player. He loved his family deeply and always protected them! He will be greatly missed by all.
Felix is survived by his spouse Rose Hunter of 62 years; daughter Fran Katz and her husband Harvey; daughter Lee Becourtney; son Eli Hunter and his wife Hope; grandson Andrew Katz; grandson David Katz; granddaughter Chelsea Becourtney; and grandson Evan Hunter.
He was predeceased by his brothers Fred Hunter and brother Yosef Hunter; sister Chana Berg; and parents Moshe and Miriam Unterhalter.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11704.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Fran and Harvey Katz beginning on Sunday after the burial and Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM as well as Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
