He had an insatiable appetite for knowledge, particularly the universe and stars, and now he finds himself among them.
Charles is survived by his son Douglas Shayne and daughter-in-law Katherine Braver-Shayne, and his brother Eugene Shayne.
Mr. Shayne was predeceased by his wife Geraldine Shayne in 2022 and his parents Alfred Shayne and Sophie Schein.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 immediately followed by the committal at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton, New Jersey 08619.
No formal public shiva will be observed.
