Thomas William Haas

Thomas (Tom or Tommy) William Haas of Manahawkin, NJ was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Thomas passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in his home, one day shy of turning 64.

Born on October 8, 1957 in Montclair, NJ, Thomas was the son of Otto F. Haas Jr. and Marian R. Haas. He graduated Verona High School in 1975 and then went on to attend Villanova.

Tom had a great passion for cooking, watching his favorite team, the Yankees play, he was an avid reader and loved listening to his favorite band, The Beatles. Many will remember Tom as someone with a great sense of humor who could always make you laugh.

Tom is survived by his wife of many years, Kassy Haas, his daughter, Katie Neiswender of Pennsylvania, son-in-law, Eddie Neiswender and grand-daughter, Laina Neiswender, his sister, Peggy Emmons of Vermont and her husband Mark Emmons, and many nieces and nephews. Tom is predeceased by his father, Otto F. Haas Jr., mother, Marian R. Haas, and brother, James O. Haas.

Tom’s memorial service will be held at Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.
