James Quinlan of Barnegat, NJ died peacefully at home on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was born on April 5, 1954 to Frances and Mary Quinlan. He grew up in Hillside, NJ. He enjoyed golfing with friends and fishing with his brother Tommy.
James worked for Conrail for 42 years as a car inspector and yard master. He was also a local chairman with the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis "Fran" and Mary "Reggie" Quinlan.
He is survived by his partner of 42 years Anita Grohmann, his brother's, Thomas (Lois) and Ronald Quinlan, his three sisters, Mary Lou Donnelly, Maureen Grant, and Sharon Donlon (Joe), as well as his many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass at St. Mary's Church, 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:30. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, 283 Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, NJ.
