He is survived by his loving parents Jimmy and Mary (Burneyko), his devoted brothers Jonathan and Nicholas and his wife Halie, and his nephew, Colton. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Rita and William Burneyko and his paternal grandmother Margaret Jones.
Chris played football at Southern Regional High School. After graduating in 2003, he joined his family’s business, Gold’n Gifts Jewelers in Toms River where he worked for 17 years as a jeweler, diamond setter, and jewelry designer. Chris achieved numerous certifications in diamontology from the Gemological Institute of America. After the store closed due to his dad’s retirement, Chris went on to obtain his commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Class A and HAZMAT certifications.
He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed target shooting. His greatest passion was volunteering in soup kitchens and food pantries at various locations in New Jersey. Above all else, the times spent with his family and friends were his happiest times.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ
