January 5, 1996 - November 6, 2024
Bailey Gerald Bellissimo passed from this life on November 6, 2024, leaving an immense void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. Born on January 5, 1996, Bailey was the beloved son of TJ and Lisa Bellissimo, cherished brother to TJ Jr. and his wife Moira, and grandson of Susan Funicello. He was eagerly anticipating the birth of his nephew, son to TJ Jr. and Moira.
Bailey's love and loyalty to his family, and his pride in his Italian heritage, were defining traits to those who knew him. He was the friend everyone could count on - the one who brought people together with his humor, kind heart, and insightful words of encouragement. Bailey was loved by his girlfriend, Kayla Reinhardt, and his loss is felt profoundly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bailey was passionate about sports. Whether gathering friends for a game night or avidly following professional sports with his family, he brought a unique energy to every moment with his quick wit and limited tolerance for nonsense. His easy going nature drew people to him and endeared him to many.
As a substitute teacher and registered behavior technician at Stafford Township School District, Bailey made a remarkable and memorable impact on the school community. Known as a great role model, he always demonstrated patience and compassion with his students. He will be missed tremendously by both colleagues and students. To Bailey's students: When faced with a challenge, try to remember something Mr. B would have said to you.
Bailey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Thomas and Barbara Bellissimo, and Jerry Funicello. He is survived by his aunts and uncles, Kimberly Bellissimo and Terry Davis, Duane and Alicia Bellissimo, Christian Bellissimo, Robert and Denise Funicello, and Brian and Dawn Heath, along with his cousins Jared and Brooke Bellissimo, Abigail and Gabriela Funicello, Danielle Miller, Brian, Paige, Dillon Dawson and Jake Heath.
Visitation for Bailey will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Pines, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
Bailey, your laugh, your love, and your loyalty will forever be etched in our hearts. You will always be remembered with love and gratitude. May you rest in peace.
