Born in New Haven, CT, he moved to New Jersey in 1969 and settled in Roselle. After marrying his wife of 52 years, Natalie, they lived in Bayonne and Elizabeth before settling in Manahawkin in 2004.
Prior to retiring, he was a truck driver for the Teamsters Union Local 617, having worked for White Rose Dairy and DIGiorgio’s in Carlstadt.
Anthony honorably served our country in the US Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune from 1960-1964. Throughout his life, Anthony will also be remembered as an avid New York Yankee fan.
Surviving are his loving wife, Natalie; his daughter, Toni Ann Mellifiore; his grandsons: Michael and Dominic; his daughter, Julia Gomes; his brother, Frank Melvin; his sister, Angela Bernal; and many nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
