Ann Magnatta

Ann (Mancino) was born on December 29, 1924 in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Ann was raised in Newark, NJ by her beloved Uncle and Aunt. After being married to her first husband Stanley Chiappinelli, Ann relocated to Belleville, NJ. Ann had a busy life taking care of her children, disabled husband and disabled Uncle. After the death of her husband and Uncle, she worked at Clara Mass Hospital in Belleville for fifteen years as a medical secretary. Relocating to Greenbrook, NJ after married to her second husband James Magnatta, she worked for Dr. Mian in Somerville for fourteen years and retired at age 75.

Ann had many hobbies including sewing, crafts, knitting, crocheting, painting and reading. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends as well as enjoying casinos and martinis.

After relocating to Lakewood, Ann volunteered at the local hospital for five years. Ann was preceded in death by her first husband Stanley Chiappinelli and her second husband James Magnatta. She is survived by two children Joseph Chiappinelli and Connie Hughes and two step children James Magnatta and Debbie Dunne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on Sunday, December 17 from 11am to 1pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Hospice c/o Foundation Office, 23 Main St., Suite D1, Holmdel, NJ 07733, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Veteran's Administration.
