Paul Franklin Shannon, 77, of Charleston, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014, at Eastbrook Center. He was born on March 4, 1937, in Charleston to the late Wesley and Pauline Johnson Shannon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Fleck Shannon and brother, Michael “Mickey” Shannon. Paul was retired from E I DuPont with 37 years of service as an electrician and was a U. S. Army veteran. He is survived by his children, Paul Brian Shannon of Charleston, Angie Roach (Bobby) of Malden, David Franklin Shannon of Charleston and Wes Shannon (Alisha Toler) of Charleston; step-daughter, Lisa Ann Holstein (Chuck) of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Shari Pennington of Charleston; brother, Richard Shannon of Charleston; and grandchildren, Brandon Roach, Layne and Lylah Toler, and Lindsey, Michael and Laynee Holstein. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. The burial will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Family and friends will gather for the visitation two hours prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
