Pamela Sherry Ratliff Pleasants

Pamela Sherry Ratliff Pleasants, 60, of Campbells Creek, passed away peacefully at home under the protection of the One True and Living God on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was strong in her faith in God. She started out as an employee for the State Department of Health before dedicating herself to being a doting stay-at-home mom, followed by a realtor, then a substitute clerk and secretary for Kanawha County Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Barbara Ratliff of Blount, as well as her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Pleasants, and sister, Eula Bowles of OH. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Louis E. Pleasants, daughter, Melissa Lou Pleasants, and Minnie, as well as sister Ellena Hill of Hampton, VA and brothers, Wayne Ratliff of Welcome, NC, Lynn Ratliff of Hurricane and Carlee Ratliff of Blount and their spouses and children. We would like to thank those who prayed and helped, as well as concerned friends and neighbors. The funeral service will be performed by Pastor Larry Campbell of Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home in Malden, with visitation one hour prior, followed by a graveside service and burial at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
