George was born in Charleston on June 6, 1956, to the late Granville and Maxine Bostic. He was retired from the WV Parkways Authority and a dedicated member of Spring Fork Baptist Church and Trustee Board.
When George’s health permitted, he served in many ways at the church. He loved working in the sound room, BYF teacher, Vacation Bible School “popcorn popper” and loved working in the kitchen for dinners and special occasions.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby and Vernon Bostic; sisters, Carol and Charlotte Bostic, Althea Gatens and Faye Goff.
George is survived by his wife, Tammi Wentz Bostic; daughter, Ashlee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Becky Wentz of Campbells Creek; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Ryan and LeAnn Wentz of Winfield; sisters, Joyce Morris and Trish Bostic, both of Campbells Creek; brothers, Richard (Vicki) Bostic of Kenna, James of Campbells Creek and Kenny (Catherine) Bostic of St. Albans; and a host of nieces and nephews and special niece, Kathy Jo McMahan of Franklin, NC.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
