Edith Cantrell

Edith was born in Charleston on April 23, 1928, to the late Albert and Flota Fields Sheets. She was retired from Fazio’s with 48 years of service and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman “Bear” Cantrell; sons, Danny, Roger and Terry Cantrell; four brothers and two sisters.

Edith is survived by her children, Barry (Renaya) Cantrell of Charleston, Steve Cantrell of Clayton, North Carolina, Paulette Brockhoff of Sarasota, Florida and Richard (Kimberly) Cantrell of Charleston; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Edith’s Doctors and Nurses at CAMC for their love and care.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with her son, Barry Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Drawdy Cemetery, Peytona, West Virginia.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W., Charleston, West Virginia 25387.
