Russell Lynne Drewry

Born April 16, 1947 in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Russell Edward and Cornelia George Drewry and was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Drewry and a half-brother, Jerry Kirk. Mr. Drewry was retired from Dodson Bros. Exterminating Company and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Drewry is survived by one daughter, Red Sayles and husband, Scott; one son, Brian Drewry and wife, Pam, both of Madison Heights; eight grandchildren, Adrian, Eva, Corbin, Elan, Quinn, Isley, Colton; and Ella; two nephews, Christopher Drewry of Ocala, FL and Russell Drewry of New Orleans, LA and a sister-in-law, Lorna Drewry of Ocala, FL.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the funeral home.
