Mary Ann Terry Johns, 68, of Madison Heights, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, January 20, 2014 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of Andrew Allen Johns.
Born February 18, 1945 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Steward Loving and Cecil Hamilton Terry. Mrs. Johns was a retired housekeeper with Nights Motel and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Mission, and for the last few years, had been attending New Beginning Tabernacle. Mary Ann was a proud member of the Monacan Indian Nation.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Jesse Terry and wife Geraldine of Madison Heights and Bobby Terry and wife Myrtle of Monroe; two sisters, Betty T. Branham of Lynchburg and Geraldine T. Branham of Madison Heights and many special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Gary Moore officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the funeral home and other times at the home of her sister, Geraldine, 115 Lee Drive, Madison Heights.
