Gloria Christian Christian Smoot

Gloria Christian Smoot, 67, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roger Lee Smoot. Born April 1, 1947 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late James Ray and Virginia Millner Christian and was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Mason and Harold Mason. She was retired from First Federal Savings & Loan and BB&T. Gloria is survived by one brother, Jimmy Christian and wife Sara Lu of Madison Heights; three sisters, Betty Mason of Lynchburg; Clara Griffith and husband Carl of Delaware, and Pat Maddox of Madison Heights and many beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Terry Wornstaff officiating. The will receive friends following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church or Clifford Baptist Church.
