Donald Lewis Tweedy, born on September 12, 1950, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at the age of 74. Donald was a man who lived a life full of passion, care, and devotion to his family and the things he loved.
He was an avid fisherman who cherished the calmness of the water, and his love for cooking was known to all. Donald took great pride in creating heart-healthy meals, always considering the well-being of those he fed. A dedicated son, he lovingly cared for his mother during her recovery from cancer, showing his deep commitment to family. He cherished his time with his sisters and was always there for them, lending a hand whenever needed.
Donald had a natural gift for working with his hands and was affectionately known by his family as a "backyard engineer." Whether working on cars, building things, or tackling home projects, he loved using his tools and seeing a job well done. In addition to his many skills, Donald enjoyed shopping, particularly online, where he could explore new gadgets and tools for his next project.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Lewis Tweedy and Margaret Arlene Hudson Tweedy.
Donald is survived by his sisters, Lois Shelor (John) and Sherry Miller, and his beloved nieces, Amy, Susan, and Kristin.
