Born on September 11, 1944, in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late Ernest “Jack” Williams and the late Eula Cumbie Williams. Clarence proudly served his country from 1962 to 1966 in the United States Air Force. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business and his Master's degree in Administration from Lynchburg College. He retired as the Plant Controller from Archer Creek Foundry with over 35 years of service. Clarence was a member of Union Christian Church in Madison Heights, VA.
Clarence enjoyed meeting with and talking to his friends over breakfast and lunch. Clarence was a collector, especially of WWII memorabilia. His greatest joys in life were his family and watching his grandchildren in their many activities.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother , Calvin Lynwood Williams.
In addition to his wife, Dianne Williams, he is survived by his sons, Eddie Williams and wife Annie and Billy Williams and wife Lisa; four grandchildren, Parker, Owen, Walker and Cora Williams; sister, Gaynell "Sally" Schalk; in-laws, Billy and Edna Hunt; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jim Freeman and Pastor Todd Blake officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 16.
