Our beloved Amy Dawn Webb (Morrison) gained her wings on October 21, 2023 surrounded by her fiancé Todd and her mother, Ginny at Bedford Memorial Hospital. Amy is now at peace and out of pain after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Amy was predeceased in death by her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Fred and Jerry Atchley, her beloved aunt Kim Atchley, her paternal grandfather and grandmother Richard Morrison and Elsie Ackley, and her aunt Teresa.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her fiancé Todd Friess, parents Jack and Ginny Morrison, aunt and uncle, Jill Atchley & Louis Worley, aunt and uncle Joe and Sharon Braswell and her cousins.
Amy was born April 12, 1972, in Portsmouth, Va where she attended Churchland High School until the family moved to Monroe Va. In 1989. She completed high school and graduated from Amherst High School in 1992. Amy loved life and family, and her favorite moments were spent with Todd and on lunch and shopping dates with her mother.
Amy did not have children of her own, but loved all children and would show love to all with her gifts and loving words.
Amy was a very dedicated, hard worker, and she was devoted to any job she took on. She always gave 100% to make sure she was successful in any role she played. She had an impeccable work ethic.
Amy was an avid animal lover and rescued all her pets from the local animal shelter or from owners that couldn’t have their pets any longer. We could all take a lesson from Amy in the kindness and gentleness she showed here.
Amy was a rocker to the core and if you knew her you knew she loved the “Bad Boys” Motley Crue, with Nikki Sixx being her favorite. No other person knew more lyrics to so many songs. She often used songs to express her feelings.
Amy’s beauty, kindness and generosity were all so present and obvious to those around her. Amy suffered through adversity and pain her whole life, and she was a fighter through it all right up to the end. The suffering is over now, and she is rejoicing with her family and the angels. She will be greatly missed by many.
The family wishes to thank the Hospice workers and the Bedford Memorial Hospital Nurses for the care they provided Amy. They also wish to thank the family and friends who have reached out and offered their condolences and a lending hand. All are much appreciated.
A memorial service will be held on November 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Madison Heights.
