Matthew Kenneth Bylski, age 23, born in Royal Oak, Michigan to his devoted parents Kenneth and Sandra, left us unexpectedly during his time at Camp Pendleton, California. Achieving the esteemed rank as sergeant, Matthew's journey in the Marines began in January 2019, a testament to his unwavering work ethic.
A proud graduate of Hazel Park High School in 2018, Matthew's vibrant spirit shone through his athleticism and musical talents. His involvement in the marching band left a lasting impact on those who shared the field with him. Beyond his dedication to duty, Matthew was a loving and caring soul. A fervent supporter of Detroit sports, he particularly cherished the Red Wings. In moments of leisure, he enjoyed sharing laughter with friends over a cold beer, embodying his passion for a good time. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we mourn his untimely departure, let us celebrate the vibrant, hardworking, and compassionate person he was.
Matthew was a cherished son to Kenneth Bylski & Sandra (Jonathan) Rogoff, a loving brother to Joshua (Jacqueline) Bylski, a cherished grandson to Susan Bell & Edward (Karen) Bell and was a beloved nephew to many Aunts and Uncles.
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents James and Beverly Bylski.
A visitation for Matthew will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
A 2nd day of visitation will occur Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
Immediately following the Funeral Service, committal prayers and military honors will be held at 1:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, Michigan 48442.
