Elizabeth A. Henry, was born in Detroit, Michigan 98 years ago to Dalton K. and Euphemia E. Howard. She grew up and was educated in Royal Oak along with three siblings who preceded her in death. She was married to Edward P. Henry, who passed away 50 years ago. They raised Brittany Spaniels and enjoyed hunting and fishing in Northern Michigan. Elizabeth enjoyed reading and completing various word puzzles. Her favorite show was Jeopardy. Elizabeth retired from the Royal Oak Public Library after 43 years of service. She was a member of the Oakland County Genealogy Society having researched one line of her family back to 1550. She is survived by six nieces and nephews and their families. She will be missed by her family, friends and staff at Pomeroy Assisted Living and Memory Care Sterling. She will especially be missed by longtime friend Patricia Gosik.
Cremation entrusted to Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home and laid to rest at Roseland Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Royal Oak Public Library or OCGS.
