Marilyn was born on August 21, 1936 in New Haven, CT to Harry and Christine (McDonald) Coyle. Marilyn was a graduate of West Haven High School
Her career took her to SNET as a secretary in the mobile unit where she was a dedicated employee for 35 years. In addition to earning awards for her exemplary work, she made lots of great friends with whom she worked with during this time.
Marilyn was passionate about planning her West Haven High School class reunions through the years with friends that lasted a lifetime. She was a member of the Newcomers Club of Madison in the 1960s and 70s where she especially enjoyed putting on clambakes. Marilyn would spend her summer weekends at Garvan Point in Madison from sunrise to sunset grilling, swimming, and sailing with beloved friends and family. Marilyn also loved to give back to her community. She was recognized for giving over 20 gallons of blood for the American Red Cross. She also made generous donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Upon becoming a grandmother, Marilyn was extremely devoted to and adored her only grandson, Drew. Whether it was his tennis games or enjoying his company at Cedar Island Marina or taking trips to Newport while Drew was attending college, Marilyn never missed an opportunity to see her grandson grow up.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Karen (Noyes) Marzano, son in-law Andrew Marzano and grandson Drew Noyes Marzano of Clinton, CT. and a brother Richard Coyle of Beacon Falls, CT. She also leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Harry Coyle and former husband Robert J. Noyes.
Visitation will be Friday, November 10, from 10am - 12:30pm at Swan Funeral Home in Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marilyn's memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project
