James F Coggins

James was born on November 5, 1970 in Bridgeport to the late Michael F. Coggins, Jr. and Janice (Coggins) Duncan. Raised in Naugatuck and West Haven, James grew up close to his two brothers and loving mother whom he was especially devoted to.

A lifelong car lover, James was happy to work as a car detailer adding his special touch to all he did. James was also a talented artist, an avid reader and a motorcycle enthusiast in his free time.

His greatest love came into his life almost 16 years ago with the birth of his son Adam. James loved and cherished Adam and was so very proud of the smart, kind and musically talented young man he has become.

In addition to his beloved son, James leaves behind his longtime partner Dina Jasser and his brothers Michael F. Coggins (Melanie) of Hamden and Shawn P. Coggins (Jennifer) of West Haven as well as his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

James will be remembered in a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a fund set up to provide for Adam’s education. Contributions can be sent to:
