Wayne Miller Howell, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 18, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Options, 486 New St., Macon GA 31201.
Wayne was born in Wheeler County, Georgia to the late Elmer A. and Earlene Dixon Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald S. Howell. Wayne was a member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church and a former member of Log Cabin Baptist Church and Bellevue Baptist Church. She was very active in all the ministries of her church and volunteered with Hospice Care Options. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Richard) Reed of Lizella; two granddaughters, Kristen (Anthony) Whitworth of Macon, Kyla Grace (James) Nunnally of Smyrna; two great grandchildren, Avonlea Rose Whitworth and Haviland Grace Noelle Whitworth; sister, Judy Coleman of Bonaire; and brother, Brinson (Donna) Miller of Lyons.
