Thomas A Johnston

Thomas Arthur Johnston, 86, died Saturday, July 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Liberty United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Rev. Wayne Anthony will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Liberty United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 6511 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216.

Mr. Johnston was born in Albany, Georgia the son of the late Fannie McDaniel Johnston and Arthur Johnston. He was the widower of Edna Bledsoe Johnston. Mr. Johnston was retired military as a United States Air Force veteran having served in Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. He lastly retired from Five Star Dodge and Riverside Ford. Mr. Johnston was also a member of the Senior Friends at Coliseum Hospital.

Mr. Johnston is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Louie) Cheek of Macon; grandson, Tommy (Kristen) Cheek of Juliette; great-grandchildren, Rigdon and Addison Cheek; brother, James Johnston of Griffin and Bobby (Betty) Johnston of Albany; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
