Thea Elizabeth Weir DeFore, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Williams and Pastor Robert Webb. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkway Assembly of God, 5191 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon GA 31206. The family has requested social distancing and mask be worn for those in attendance.
Thea was born in Macon, Georgia to the late John Weir and Donnie Lee Lyles Weir. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brooks Hamrick. She was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School class of 1952 and was the head majorette. Thea was a member of Parkway Assembly of God. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Joseph “Joe” DeFore of Macon, daughter, Madonna (Gene) Hamrick of Macon, Belinda (Bob) Wells of Rockwood, TN, grandchildren, Misti (John) Sikes, Brandon Hamrick and great grandchildren, Tristan and Spencer Joe Sikes.
