Norma Sue Barineau Patat, 96, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Chris Barbee officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM to service time at Snow's at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Sue was born on August 12, 1928, in Cairo, GA to the late Durwood and Lula Mae Barineau. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mimi. Sue loved her family and friends dearly. She truly lived her life loving the Lord and caring for others.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, James Prince “Mott” Patat, Jr and daughters, Jane Owens and SueAnne Sirmons.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, William Steven Patat (Deborah) of Evans, GA, and James “Jim” Prince Patat, III of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Lisa Holton (Drexel), Kevin Patat, Julie Owens (Seth), Jennifer Goetzman, Colin Patat (Misty), and Hannah Barfield (Trey); 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please donate to your favorite charity or organization in Sue’s memory. The family would also like to thank all the employees of Lynn Haven Health & Rehab for all of their love, support, and excellent care that was provided to Mrs. Sue the last 2 years.
