Stephen Todd Dorsey

Stephen "Todd" Dorsey, 51, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 3P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2:00 P.M. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home and suggests that memorial contributions be made to New Heights Baptist Church, 158 Lamar Road, Macon, GA 31220.

Mr. Dorsey was preceded in death by his father, David Cox Dorsey. He was a lifelong resident of Macon graduating from First Presbyterian Day School and Valdosta State University. He was Foreman at Southern Warehouse for nineteen years and was a member of New Heights Baptist Church. Todd loved the outdoors, especially the Satilla River. He most loved his family and friends who knew him as a loving, kind and thoughtful gentle man with a big, big heart.

He is survived by those he loved the most, his family.his mother, Lottie Dorsey of Macon; his brother, Gary Dorsey of Macon; two nephews, Brent Dorsey of Kennesaw and Kevin Dorsey of Athens; his two special aunts, Annette Hammond and Luneal Harvey, both of Tifton; several cousins and his beloved companion, his dog, Nikzi.
