Our Angel got her wings

Shirley Ann Weeks, 72, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 3 to 5 pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Life celebration services will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 2pm at Macon Memorial Park chapel. Rev. Milton Wood will be officiating.

Shirley was born in Dublin, GA Jan 21, 1939 to the late Isaac Talmadge and Julia Mae Smith of Macon. Shirley was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and Joy 1 Sunday school class in Eatonton, GA. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She will be missed by all her friends and the lives she touched. More than anything she loved her family, who will continue to keep her spirit in their hearts forever. Her husband Donald Weeks referred to her as the love of his life. Most of their adult life she lived in Macon. In 1994, she and her husband moved to Lake Sinclair where they enjoyed many happy years.

She is survived by her husband Donald Weeks; daughters Vicki (George) Reid of Macon, Donna (Alton) Busbee of Lexington N.C, and Lori (Ricky) Jones of Juliette; grandchildren, Bud (Lira) Reid, Britney (Jamie) Rozier, Chloe Busbee, Don Busbee and Faith Ann Jones; great grandchildren Skylar Reid, Summer Reid and Isabella Rozier; and brother Kenneth (Sonya) Smith.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 635 Twin Bridges Road Eatonton, GA 31024.
