A celebration of life for Sandra will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, followed by a visitation. Rev. Kevin Mills will officiate. Burial will be private for family only in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Faith for the Future, Northway Church, 5915 Zebulon Road, Macon 31210.
Sandra was born in Macon, Georgia the daughter of the late Eva Jewell Luther Sapp and Albert Sapp. She was a beloved retired school teacher having taught for over 30 years with the Bibb County School System. Sandra was a charter member of Northway Church and member of the prayer ministry of the church as well. She received her Master's degree from Mercer University.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Paul Maron Bassett of Macon; daughters, Amy Sturtevant (Kyle) of Cumming and Ansley Brown (Todd) of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Cason, Anna Lindsey, and Calder Sturtevant, Walker and Baylor Brown; sister, Babs Dornfeld (Tom) of Youngsville, NC.
