Ron was born November 25, 1940, to Lemo Rial and Margaret Harden. He grew up in Tampa, Florida, attended Jefferson High School then joined the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Doris Chabot on November 26, 1960, and they had three children, Debbie, Joe and Chris. After the military Ron was a District Manager for Verizon until he retired. His career took him to Jasper, Indiana, St. Louis, Missouri and Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was given many awards for his leadership skills.
On the lighter side, Ron and Doris enjoyed sailing on their 25’ Hunter sailboat and took many trips on his Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. Ron was an avid golfer and absolutely loved to cook (with Doris as his sous chef).
Ron is survived by his wife Doris Harden; daughter, Debbie (Harden) Durcholz (Patrick); sons, Joe Harden (Stacy), and Chris Harden; brother, Frank Harden; sister, Yvonne (Harden) Abney; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lemo Rial and Margaret Harden, sister Linda (Harden) Baber.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. His humor, laughter and wit will be missed terribly by his wife, children, family and friends.
